Usage Statistics
For PlantANT Growers, the "Usage Statistics" is a great tool for tracking traffic your listings are generating. This tool gathers information in real time and tracks the number of times your listings are displayed in a search and clicked on. Additionally, it displays the number of times your availability list has been viewed.
Graphs
The first graph displays clicks on your plants in the last 30 days. Your 5 top clicked plants are displayed to the left of the graph and also show the number of times that particular plant has been clicked in parenthesis at the end of the plant name.
The second graph displays how many times your plants have been displayed in searches, in the last 30 days. This does not necessarily mean that a user clicked your plant, but that they did a search which caused your plant to display. Just like in the click graph, your 5 top viewed plants are displayed to the left of the graph and also show the number of times that particular plant has been clicked in parenthesis at the end of the plant name.
The last graph displays views of your availability list. This is the page that shows your entire inventory list along with all your company information. The can be reached after clicking on an plant listing, after searching for a vendor using our vendor search, and also directly from Google and other search engine searches.
Click Through Rate
The click through rate is the percentage of the your plants displayed that were actually clicked on. It's normal for this number to be low (below 3%) and is very useful in seeing how well your listings are doing from different time periods, or as you experiment with different listing options on the site.
How's your success?
Are you meeting your goals? Great! Room for improvement? Here are some tips on increasing your clicks and click through rate:
Add pictures! Users tell us time and time again that they love seeing pictures of the material before calling or driving. Adding pictures makes your listing stand out more since a green camera icon will be displayed next to your listing in searches.
More Detail! PlantANT's many search filters help save users time. If you offer a plant with a certain feature, make sure it's selected for that plant. If you price based on a height, make sure you also include the height range in your listing. If you don't include as much detail as possible, your listings will not display when a user drills down using filters. For example, if a user is searching for a 12 foot foxtail, but your foxtail does not have a height specified, it will not display to that user.
